This year MSN’s grant applications to Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Newcastle and Port Stephens ClubGRANTS competitions were successful.All funds obtained from ClubGRANTS will be used to support the 2019 scholarships program.

• Mayfield Ex-Services Club
• Soldiers’ Point Bowling Clu

ClubGRANTS have supported the MSN scholarships program since 2008 when they funded scholarships for six students in 2009.Since then Beresfield Bowling Club, Hexham Bowling Club and Mayfield Ex-Services Club have supported the program every year.This long-term ongoing partnership and support has been essential to our commitment to help disadvantaged youth achieve their educational goals.

In the eleven years since that first successful ClubGRANTS application a total of nine clubs from the four LGAs have provided support.

The Scholarship Program has also been supported by a wide range of other organisations and individuals.Their support has further strengthened the program and helped it grow.
Since the first two scholarships in 2008, 175 have been awarded (82 Newcastle, 56 Lake Macquarie, 17 Maitland, 9 Port Stephens, 4 Upper Hunter, 4 Cessnock, 2 Dungog, and 1 Muswellbrook.)
