MSN 2018 Educational Scholarships Program
With Damien’s departure, Jane Kift has taken on the role of chair of the scholarships program. Jane is now in the process of contacting 2018 scholarship recipients and their schools to introduce herself and confirm with everyone that the program will continue as usual.
Jane has established a scholarships management team consisting of herself, Julie Fraser, Barbara England and Helen Doust. Over the next few weeks each scholarship recipient will be contacted by a member of the team to review their academic progress and ensure that their scholarship funds are all going to be utilised before the end of the year.
If any student or school has questions or concerns please either contact Jane at email@example.com or 0418 431 646 or MSN (your inquiry will be forwarded to Jane for response.)
The work of MSN and the 2018 scholarships program is supported financially by many organizations (for a full list please see the website). Currently there are 26 students in receipt of scholarships. To date they have used their funds for computers, textbooks, school fees, uniforms, tutoring, equipment and excursions. As usual about two thirds of the funds so far allocated have been spend on computers.
We are currently in the process of submitting grant applications and speaking with this year’s sponsors and supporters to ensure funding is available for programs in 2019. Financial support for our work in 2019 has already been confirmed from Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation, Orica, East Maitland Bowling Club and the Maitland Mutual. Many thanks!
The call for scholarship applications for 2019 will be made in August/September.
