The call has just been made for applications for the 2019 MSN Educational Scholarships Program.

Eligible students are:
• At least 15 years old
• Living with financial hardship that impedes their education
• Strongly committed to their education goals
• Attending a local educational institution such as a school, TAFE or the University.

During 2018, with funding from our sponsors, 26 local students are being supported by an MSN Educational Scholarship. One of these students is Natalie Hogan who was supported by MSN scholarships in both 2017 and 2018. Read Natalie’s inspiring story in a recent Newcastle Herald article

While fundraising for 2019 continues, we are optimistic that again we will be able to support at least 25 students. With funding received to date from Orica’s Community Investment Program, South Maitland Railways and as described above, ClubGRANTS we are well on the way to achieving this.

Each applicant must be nominated by an organisational members of MSN. More detailed information including scholarship guidelines, an annual schedule, and the application form can be found on the website. Applications must be submitted by 26 October 2018, and can be done on-line or by hand on paper. Interviews will take place between 7 and 9 November.

The Scholarships Presentation will take place on Tuesday 19 February at the Paceway. At that time we will also take the opportunity to formally recognise all our sponsors.
